who is Jesus? |
 |
|
|

How
could this destitute man from a tiny, yet
despised, town in Galilee become the best-known and
most-loved figure in history? Is Jesus who he said
he was? Why are people so fascinated by Him? Could
he be what so many believe him to be?

Our Vision, Mission & Core Beliefs |
|
Our Vision
Our desire is
to grow closer to God in Jesus Christ, to go out
and share
the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to be of one mind in
service to the body of Christ in love, to equip the
saints and to make disciples that are ready to
be sent wherever the Lord
leads.

|
Our Mission
God, Go, Love,
Equip & Send
God:
Love God, Seek God, Obey God and Minister to God. [Deut
6:4-6]
4 "Hear,
O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!
5 You
shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, and with all your
strength.
6 "And
these words which I command you today shall be
in your heart.
Go:
Go Out and Serve the Lord. [Mark
16:15]
15 And
He said to them, "Go into all the world and
preach the gospel to every creature. [Isaiah
6:8]
8 Also
I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom
shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I
said, "Here am I! Send me."
Love:
Love those to whom you have been sent. [John
13:34-35]
34 A
new commandment I give to you, that you love one
another; as I have loved you, that you also love
one another.
35 By
this all will know that you are My disciples, if
you have love for one another."
Equip: Equip
the Saints.
Feed His Sheep. Teach them His Word. All of it. [John
21:15-17]
15 So
when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to
Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love
Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord;
You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed
My lambs."
16 He
said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of
Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes,
Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him,
"Tend My sheep."
17 He
said to him the third time, "Simon, son of
Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved
because He said to him the third time, "Do you
love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know
all things; You know that I love You." Jesus
said to him, "Feed My sheep.
Send:
Make Disciples and Send them out to repeat the
cycle until He returns [Romans
10:14-15]
14 How
then shall they call on Him in whom they have
not believed? And how shall they believe in Him
of whom they have not heard? And how shall they
hear without a preacher?
15 And
how shall they preach unless they are sent? As
it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of
those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring
glad tidings of good things!"

Our Core Beliefs
We Believe
the Bible to be the
inspired, infallible, authoritative, and
the inerrant Word of God.
(II Timothy
3:15-17, II Peter 1:21)
We Believe
there is one God,
eternally existing in three persons: the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1,
Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19,
John10:30)
We Believe
in the deity of Christ
(John 10:33);
His virgin birth
(Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke
1:34-35); His sinless life
(Hebrews 4:15,
7:26); His miracles
(John 2:11);
His vicarious and atoning death
(I Corinthians
15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9);
His resurrection
(John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4);
His ascension to the right hand of the
Father (Mark
16:19); His personal return to
earth in power and glory.
(Acts 1:11,
Revelation 19:11-13, Revelation
19:14-16)
We Believe
in the
absolute necessity of regeneration by
the Holy Spirit for salvation because of
the exceeding sinfulness of the human
nature, and that all are justified on
the single ground of faith in the shed
blood of Christ, and that only by God's
grace through faith alone are we saved.
(John 3:16-19;
John 5:24, Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-9,
Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)
We Believe
in the
resurrection of both the saved and the
lost; those who are saved unto the
resurrection of life, and those who are
not unto the resurrection of damnation.
(John 5:28-29)
We Believe
in the spiritual unity of
the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Romans 8:9, I
Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28)
We Believe
in the present ministry
of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling
the Christian is enabled to live a godly
life. (Romans
8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16; I
Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30;
Ephesians 5:18)
We Believe
that we as Christians are
examples of the love of God in this
world. It is this (agape) love that we
desire to possess and without which we
have no right to call ourselves
Christians.
Our supreme desire is to know Christ and
be conformed into His image by the power
of the Holy Spirit.
(I
John 4:16-17)
