We've seen the photographs of smoke
and rubble where the World Trade Center
used to stand. We watched in horror
as a 767 airliner carefully banked and
crashed straight into one of the towers.
We are shaken, shocked and grieving,
unable to take our eyes away from the
images of smoke and ash, unable to begin
to count the devastation of this day. In
the midst of all the questions, one
stands out: Why? Why did
this happen? How did this happen? And if
there really is a God who cares about
us, where was He on September 11, 2001?

Martin Luther's "95 Thesis" & "Definition
of Faith" |

Martin
Luther dealt the symbolic blow that began the
Reformation when he nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the
door of the Wittenberg Church. But Luther himself saw
the Reformation as something far more important than a
revolt against ecclesiastical abuses. He believed it was
a fight for the gospel.
That document contained an
attack on papal abuses and the sale of indulgences by
church officials.
